I’ve got a confession to make: I absolutely love LinkedIn!
It’s a bit like Marmite, you either love it or hate it, but for me, it’s a fantastic platform to connect with other business people. There are numerous great conversations happening all the time, and what sets it apart from other social networks is the supportive atmosphere it provides. Unlike its counterparts, LinkedIn is still relatively ad-free, and the content shared there is less superficial, focusing more on genuine interactions rather than resorting to attention-grabbing tactics. I’d go so far to say it’s my favourite social network at the moment.
One of the newer features on LinkedIn that I find particularly exciting is Newsletters. Here’s a few reasons why they rock:
Firstly, you already have a captive group of followers who have consented to, and are genuinely interested in what you have to say. This built-in audience makes it easier to get your message across.
Secondly, whenever you post a new newsletter, your followers receive notifications in LinkedIn, ensuring they don’t miss out on your content.
Thirdly, these newsletters are also emailed directly to all of your followers (how cool is that!?), ensuring maximum reach and engagement. While I don’t have any specific stats to back it up, I’m willing to bet that LinkedIn newsletters have some of the highest open and engagement rates across all forms of digital marketing right now.
If you’re looking to promote your business, I strongly believe that you’re missing out if you’re not considering LinkedIn newsletters. Even if your business is business-to-consumer (B2C), don’t overlook LinkedIn. Remember, people have jobs and businesses, so most of your ideal customers are still going to be active on LinkedIn. It’s essential to jump on this opportunity sooner rather than later, as with any marketing channel, saturation is inevitable at some point.
As for what you can expect from me, I’ll be sharing actionable tips on design and marketing based on my real-world experience working with clients. I’ll also provide insights into what I’m up to in the ever-evolving crazy ride of business ownership. I truly hope you’ll stick around and join me on this journey.
